>The room you are in has some one-way glass windows that overlook a testing room, some loose stools, a terminal and two doors, one leading back to the hallway with the robots and one leading to a room marked Detention Observation.
>The vines that emerged around the flower begin to rub themselves in and around the pedals.
>You look back from the flower that just tried to chomp down on your bullets and you see that the robots outside the room are starting to peek inside.

What do you do?

or if we go to the death room, we leave the flower alone since its already been triggered but might reset in time to grab a robot for us.

The flower is waving tentacles around, we need to give it something to poke at so that it doesn't grab one of us. Chances are it will get tired of the stool by the time the robots are going past.

The reason I don't want to go into the testing room is because the room that seems to be Observing it is marked 'The death show'. Implying it's an observation platform for death. Which would be in the testing room.

The reason we should go into the testing room is because the testing room will have another door leading out [since they probably didnt break a window to get in every time]. The observation platform could just be a dead end and besides, spear was killed by robots in the testing room. we already have that problem.

Also the tentacles aren't waving around, they're going into the petals of the flower. They're likely there to help eat the crushed pony slurry that would normally be in there.

If the death show is through this window, why would it be marked on a door called observation? the door is the route to the death show, so this can't be it.

Take advantage of her suggestive programming, be assertive. Tell her to calm down and scan the console for a way to open the door or disable the machine.

If there's no obvious way, shoot up the console to disable it and break the glass. Then wait to see if the robots survived the mortar, if something starts bashing down the door, go through the window and escape through the death room. The disabled console will hopefully prevent them from turning that thing on when we're in there.

if nothing bashes on the door, wait and console spear. if it seems like the mortar took care of the robots, open the door and check out the testing area.

I think seeing the testing room put Spearmint into PTSD.

If the mortar's gone off, peek out to see if the robots are trashed. If they're still advancing, use console to open doors, then shoot out the glass with the .308. Beware possible ricochet when doing so, as the glass may be tougher than expected. Then dash through the testing room (dragging Spearmint if necessary) and escape through the door. Once the door switch is identified, if time permits, experiment with the room switches a little to see what turns what on/off... And turn everything off!

Jeez, those are some dark thoughts.

She not entirely wrong, either. 11-54 is controlled by us Anons, and we don't have many moral restraints when it comes to survival.

In the end, it doesn't matter what we're predisposed to do. If given the chance, we can grow and change into something better.
Escaping or destroying this facility is the only way to stop the cycle of violence, so that's what we should focus on.

Two of them? We've got enough rogue bioforms around without any duplicates. I caught those bird things breeding, had a hatchling already. Nipped that problem in the bud, I did.

Alright then, i'll be on my way. Say, is their a way to lock the observation room with this console? I can't tell from here and that's what I was trying to check by fiddling with these controls. I don't think the threat is in the damaged ones, but simply the fact that there seem to be tons of them. You can fight off a couple of crippled robots. You can't fight off an entire crowd comprised of a bunch of whom are probably not cripped. This would be a job for one of those delicious mortar shells but we simply don't have a disposable one for this.

We need to get away undetected. They might have been called by the telephone voice but it doesn't matter now. Avoid them.

These robots are out of date because their communication protocols were mothballed right, so maybe they can't 'talk' to each other because their is no network to connect them.

So in theory, they wont just loiter in front of our objective, but will rather come to investigate the noise from the stairwell, so all we have to do is let them pass.

duck into a door and wait them out.

Well, in normal conditions we could scalpel up the sheet for some bandages. I don't know what we can do other than wait. We could throw the pillows under the sheet to make them look like someone is under it, but given the amount of robots I don't see that helping.

Then again, it can't hurt either.

These robots seem like they're not very intelligent. They don't seem to be searching or to have acknowledged that something pushed this one over, it's possible that with the network down their programming is no more advanced than 'see non-bot, kill'.

So, its making noise, noise attracts robots. throw the sheet over the robot, they will investigate and see a non-bot and we'll have our distraction. unfortunately this hallway makes it fucking impossible to use that distraction, we literally just have to hope they go away after killing their 'target'

You ever here the rule that any given puzzle should have three solutions?

and that it's your job as a QM to present those options? If you wrote this quest out with an enigma machine it couldn't be more cryptic, you withhold information constantly and then wonder why people don't read your mind.

But to answer your question: You don't kill them off because your two characters are the only reason people play this quest because the gameplay itself is objectively bad.
